I'm a 24 year old female. I experienced uneven pupils accompanied by nausea and headaches throughout the summer and fall of 2008 (I had just stopped taking birth control at that time, if it matters). Just as I began to worry, the symptoms went away, so I never sought medical help. A few days ago, I noticed that my pupils were slightly uneven again. Today, the difference in size is extremely noticeable even in bright light - my right pupil is at least twice the size of the left at all times, and sometimes even worse. At this time, I am not experiencing nausea or headaches. Is this cause for serious concern? If it is relevant, I am a smoker, vegetarian and I take both Ultram and Simply Sleep on a daily basis.

Hi, My mom was treated for stage III-IV cervical cancer in 1994. She was treated with internal radiation in the LEFT region of her pelvis. Several years later, she developed a tremor in one finger of her LEFT hand. Now, she barely uses her left hand and drags her left foot (FYI, she does not have insurance, so has not been to a DR.) Is it possible these symptoms are long term nuerological effects from the internal radiation? Thanks for your help! Michelle

Hi, my mother (age 51) was undergone a mastectomy for her right breast and after 1 month of operation the oncologist started an FEC-T treatment. The issue is that the current oncolgist said its stage III while we took another oncoligists advise where they say it is stage IV. Now we are falling with two diffierent Drs opinions and that AVASTIN+TAXOTERE would be better for her case. Can I have you e mail so I can send you all the patholgyist reports so you can advise me if she continue the FEC-T treatment then hormone therapy would be ok with her case.

I have lost weight during the past six weeks. I usually stick to a rigid diet; I'm a vegan and take many vitamin pils in the morning and in the evening. A blood test suggested that I have inflammation of the stomach but I am worried that it could be something else. I have veered away from my usual diet and included sweet and fatty foods and chocolate which has helped keep me at a stable weight the past 24 hours. I keep thinking that I have something terminal. What do you think?

My mother in law has recently found out she relapsed with Non-hodgkin lymphoma. She was 8 years in remission. Her oncologist decided to do ESHAP protocol with auto stem cell transplant. Her first cycle was complicated by a DVT and elevated Alkaline Phos levels. Last reading was 850 and her chemo is being held until the level goes below 350. What are your thoughts on this? Is this the correct thing to do regarding elevated Alk Phos levels? We are worried that with the chemo being held, the disease with relapse further. Can she still achieve remission if her second cyle is postponed? Thank so much for any thoughts you may have.

I was diagnosed with colon cancer last year and I had my surgery on April 24, 2009 and started chemotherapy in June 2009. I had my last treatment on Nov. 2, 2009. About a month later I started feeling bloated and later constipated and later I could not button my pants. I had my Petscan and catscan in my pelvic, abdomen, and chest area and my results were no cancer found. I still have the feeling of bloatness, constipation sometimes, swelling of the abdomen, and a little sensitivity when I press on my abdomen. Yesterday my surgeon stated that there was a lot of fluid in my stomach and it could be bacteria, mucous, and the worse case tumors. He suggested another Petscan to do a biopsy on the liquid, later he called and stated that he talked to the radiologist and they both thought and ultrasound of my ovaries should be done first. Does this mean I have ovarian cancer now and wouldn't that have shown on my Petscan because both of my doctors, the oncologist and the surgeon stated that there was no cancer found on my scans. I am very nervous and depressed right now.

I have a 51 yr old boyfriend that has survived 2 cancers: lung carcinoma (and has survived it 5 yrs last month) and then prostate cancer last July. He ran a fever last week with a sharp pain in the base of his head/neck, was admitted to ER and blood taken. He got a call today from his doctor who wants him to see an onlogist because his white blood cells are high and because of his prior history. What do you make of that?
